So our corp left Nulli and is currently chilling in Caldari Faction Warfare to just depressurize, hang out, and prepare to move back out into the swing of things in Null sec. We are in a small alliance with a newbros corp, and another pvp corp. That being said we created several doctrines to roll around FW space with and cause general mayhem.

We have been in FW for all of, maybe two-three days and we get batphoned to help save the Amarr gents who are pushing Huola. Naturally we do what anyone would do, and show up firing like a blind retarded monkey spinning in circles with an automated bazooka. Night 1, lotsa kills ensu. Night 2, I take the reigns and FC a Moa railgun fleet.

We bridge to a semi-nearby system and head towards destination. Nothing exciting happens for the most part, and we jump into Huola. Local is roughly 230 or so, which for a low sec is pretty serious bizniss. There is a friendly fleet of Harpies and a hostile fleet of cruisers / kitchen sink items. Once it is discovered where they are, by.. d scanning a giant gang in the Large, we warp in screaming Rob Giles is our savior.

We land about 40 off the fleet, so we anchor up, and I begin calling primaries in a clam, professional, very relaxed manner. It sounded sort of like the Micromachine man for you old school gents out there.

Targets start popping like crazy, we close and pull range over and over again, some of it I even managed to accomplish on purpose. We killed between 30-40 ships, and my fleet lost a grand total of….. one Moa. A single brave Moa, who did not believe in the broadcast need shield command, and chose to valiantly die in a fire rather than click a single button to save his life. This fine gentleman, single handily turned us from a perfect fight of epic pwnage… to just a good fight where we still took losses…. but I digress.

This is sorta the battle report, it’s all jacked up and shows fights for an extended period of time, but the important thing to note is the lack of red in Bohica Empire and how sexy that Kasken fellow is.

It felt good to FC an actual fight again though, lately all I have been able to FC is myself in a frigate against other people in a frigate, which usually involves me saying important things like, Oh dang, I’m gonna die.

The sad thing is, even though in the last two nights we got tons of kills in Huola, done lotsa stuff to help out the Amarr militia… that system was 0% contested last night. Le Sigh.

Until Next Time,

So our corporation is chilling in a new lowsec home for a bit near FW space. This means less larger fights, less cruiser brawls, and lots more of dat dem dere frigate fights. This is sort of a mixed bvlessing, as I lost some fights that amazed me, and won others that I had no business winning. My favorite, and most interesting encounters thought… well that’s a bit different.

So there I was, prowling a few jumps outside of our staging area with the almighty brawling kestrel. I saw a slasher on scan and figured, I’ve killed the ASB fit slashers with my Kestrel before, np. He was finishing a site as soon as I landed. I chased him to a new site, but he got inside it before I could get a point on him. I was faced with the dilemma, as he could kite me all day long. Then I realized…. I am Kasken and took the acceleration gate.

So I come barreling in at warp speed…. ha ha ha and see the slasher sitting at zero and waiting for me. Wonderful, we lock each other and engage. His shield start to melt as he begins chipping into my shield slowly. AS expected, when his shield is almost gone it gets repped almost up to full. I overheat the rockets, since it will make my life easier and take him into armor. Well, I thought I did but I see no armor damage. Another rocket volley hits, shields gone, big chunk of armor disappears. Then the unthinkable happens, BOTH the shield and armor repped at once.

This feels awkward as he is over halfway into my buffer shield tank. I go from, yawn to well crap. I immediately begin making an effort to do what I should have been doing since the beginning and pulling range. I hit armor, he hits structure, and both shield/armor rep again. I’m on TS3, half laughing, half crying at the hilarity of the situation. His shield rep finally gave out but his armor was going strong. Finally I see one more volley and I’m done. He is very low structure too but alas.

I see an explosion, immediately warp my pod out, only to realize I warped my kestrel out not my pod. I survived at 3% structure. It wasn’t the worlds most expensive kill, but it was probably one of the most intense fights I’ve had in Eve in a long time. Rocket launchers were 91% toasted and 3% structure FTW!

Well June was a pretty awesome PvP month. I don’t even think I’ve played for an entire month yet, and had 22.5b in kills. There were a couple of fleet fights which upped my numbers a pretty chunk, but a good majority were small gang/fleet roaming fights and kills.

Now I have an abundant selection of fights I can choose from to tell you about, but this while transitioning form teh military, trying to find a job, and preparing to move has kept my writing time to a minimum. So I will instead tell you the adventures of Hot Ass I (The Firetail).

This little roam started out in Alperena, which is Placid low sec. There were only three of us at the time, all firetails just going out for some pvp and practicing working on skill, not being an F1 monkey. We had nothing overly great, I think a few small kills but nothing that really stood out. We roamed through Syndicate, to Cloud Ring, and Fade/Pure Blind. The vast majority of which was empty. Seriously if anyone needs to ninja rat hit up Outer Ring/Cloud ring. That entire region is quieter than a Russian sleep deprivation experiment.

Finally after working our way through PB, our pro scout (aka the 1 Firetail with a long point) calls out a Megathron and Tengu are in system. We assume the Tengu was in a POS and he begins hunting for the Megathron. He almost gets caught at a belt, but gets out and safes up. Considering it took us a good 30-45 minutes to get over there, with no fights, we decided to be uber tactical.

The scout jumps out of the system, and we wait on our gate. After a few minutes we jump back in and blitz the belts trying to find the Mega… which sadly is nowhere to be seen. Our pro scout warps to a planet at zero, to start dscanning in safety from the rats.

Suddenly, a Tengu appears. An AFK Tengu sitting at 0 on a planet uncloaked. Our scout promptly pins him down, and in comes the raging firepower of… three artillery Firetails. The pilot comes back, and the Megathron bounces saying peace out to his dying buddy.

Now that a tengu is down, and we are giggling like schoolgirls, the loot is dropped off and we had up towards VFK. Along the way we see a group of people messing around, and wait it out for them. The have some dramiels, saber, and assorted inties. Being the incredibly badass pilots that we are, and way +++ cause of that Tengu, we go for a fight. Naturally, as it is CFC space local spikes a bit and it becomes 7vs3. One of them being a Cynabal which sorta ruined even the chance of a good fight. One Firetail escapes, two of us die. This is where it gets more amusing though.

Rather than chase down and kill the remaining Firetail, they had an obsession with my pod. I had sabres, and the like chasing me around while they let our other ship go. I led them on a merry chase, but finally they used a JB to get ahead of me, and I found a good 20-30 man camp that was waiting specifically for my pod. Also they were talking smack for killing us, so of course, we link the Tengu kill. Their response was akin to, that wasn’t me specifically and we owned you, so you suck. Saved me a hella long flight home in a pod though!

Good old CFC.
